3rd annual “Love Your People Free Yard Giveaway.”
We thank the Lord for a very blessed time reaching out to both Jewish and Gentile families in the Black Hawk Way area in our 3rd annual “Love Your People Free Yard Giveaway.” The folks who received items were very appreciative, and the opportunities to connect and build relationships will surely yield much fruit in the days ahead. Rima, the Jewish lady who won the first prize of three silver maples, was literally dancing with joy for the blessing she received. Sis Deb and Pastor Michael also want to express our sincere love and appreciation to Sis Iris, Michael D, Samuel, and “Ali J" for their labours of love in serving those who came and for helping us to get everything to and from the site (God richly bless and reward you all.)
Sister Debra's birthday!
A few of us gathered to celebrate Sister Debra's 68th birthday in October. We are grateful for her selfless love, care, and support and believing for greater breakthroughs in 2026. We thank all of our Oasis Family and extended family for making Sis Deb’s 68th Birthday very special. God bless you all for your gifts and expressions of love towards her. She was greatly blessed and encouraged :).
LOVE OUR NEIGHBOURS FREE YARD GIVEAWAY - August 24th, 2025
Oasis of Truth Ministry (Toronto) hosted a free yard giveaway on Sunday, August 24th, much to the joy and thankfulness of the neighbourhood. Attendees could choose from a variety of free items, including beauty products, household items, books & Bibles, and clothing ranging from babies’ wear to men’s and women’s apparel. Many of the items were brand new—and the best part was, they were all free. This was made possible due to the generosity of CityServe Canada, a national network that redistributes returns and end of line items to support families and communities. Also there was opportunity to pray for special needs. A miracle testimony was given of a man who was prayed for at last year’s “Giveaway” for stage four cancer and praise and thanksgiving was expressed by all concerned that his cancer is in remission.
Oasis founders Rev. Michael and Debra LeClair distributed flyers in the area and many Divine connections were made. Several members of Oasis and others were available in serving those who attended, for which we are very thankful.
The outreach brought together neighbours like Shanta and Alledin, who each received a pair of shoes. Upon receiving his pair of shoes, Alledin said, “Thank you very much, and God bless.” Many others in the community also expressed their thanks and appreciation.
At the end of the event, there was a free draw where two neighbours, Josephina and Alledin won the air purifiers, compliments of CityServe, three others received silver maple coins. Overall, it was a blessed event with plenty of new friends who expressed their gratitude.
One neighbour who attended the event Yesica shared: “I am grateful and thanked (CityServe & Oasis) for giving to us. God bless you.”
The giveaway was hosted in the driveway of the LeClair’s home. Having served in pastoral ministry in the Jane and Finch community for over 30 years, the LeClair’s are thankful for their neighbours and desirous of blessing them in God’s love. Oasis extends their sincere thanks to CityServe, all who attended and the great assistance from our Oasis family and extended family. It was a wonderful blessing to share the love of Jesus and be His hands extended to our precious neighbours and community.

Samuel, Evelyn and little Matthew's birthday celebration
Celebrating our July birthday stars — Samuel, Evelyn, and little Matthew — with love, laughter, and good food! Thanks to everyone who joined, and a special shoutout to Michael D. and Samuel for manning the grill!
Baby's 100th!
It’s not every day you get to hang out with a 100-year-old (psst… don’t tell Baby — he’s not old and might be a little sensitive about it). For those who don’t know, Baby is the LeClairs’ beloved cat. Baby has been part of the LeClairs and Oasis family for ages, and if you want to stay on his good side, just don’t steal his spot on the couch. With mince pies, chili, and other tasty treats, we had a lovely time celebrating — though Baby must’ve had a busy week, because he snoozed through most of the party. That’s okay, though. We lavvvvv you, Baby Cat, and here’s to another 100 years!
Pastor Michael's 70th birthday bash!
Woot woot! Pastor Michael happily shared that his birthday celebration at Sparkly's restaurant was the best party he’s ever had! Leading up to the event, he had an inkling there would be some festivities for his big day, but the full details were mostly kept under wraps. Judy, Samuel, and Kwame went above and beyond, working tirelessly to create a beautiful experience for Pastor Michael and everyone who attended. Many people from Pastor Michael's 30-plus years in ministry came to honour him. Pastor Michael, alongside his wife Sister Debra, were visibly moved upon arriving at the venue. The lunch was filled with joy, good food, tears, and plenty of laughter.
It was a beautiful reflection of the love and selflessness Pastor Michael and his wife have sown into the community. We’re excited for what’s ahead, as the Bible says, "the latter will be greater than the former." A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to our amazing organizers—Kwame, Judy, and Samuel!
